Things You'll Need:
- Two sheets of paper
- Scissors
- Tape
- Flat work surface
-
Step 1
Place one sheet of paper on the work surface with the short end facing toward you. Fold the bottom edge of the paper over to meet the side edge of the paper. Crease the fold. Cut off the strip of excess paper above the folded area and set it aside.
-
Step 2
Fold the large triangle of paper in half. Crease this fold and then unfold it so you have a large triangle again.
-
Step 3
Fold each short side of the triangle over to meet the middle crease. The paper should now look like a kite shape.
-
Step 4
Fold the sides over again to meet the center line. The paper should now look like a narrower kite shape.
-
Step 5
Fold the two pointed ends at the top of the “kite” down. Crease these folds, then unfold them.
-
Step 6
Tuck the two pointed ends at the top of the “kite” into the slots in the paper. This is the blade of the paper kunai knife.
-
Step 1
Place the strip of paper that you set aside in Step 1 above on your work surface.
-
Step 2
Fold the strip in half lengthwise, then unfold it. Fold each long edge over to meet the center crease.
-
Step 3
Fold the paper in half lengthwise. Place it on your work surface with the long edge toward you.
-
Step 4
Fold the end of the paper down at a 45 degree angle, about 1 1/2 inches away from the end.
-
Step 5
Fold the paper up at a 45 degree angle, about 1 1/2 inches away from the first fold. Fold the other end of the paper up at a 45 degree angle, about 1 1/2 inches away from the second fold.
-
Step 6
Fold the ends of the paper that are sticking up over at a 45 degree angle toward the middle. Overlap the ends so that the paper forms a loop. Tape the ends together.
-
Step 7
Roll up the other sheet of paper lengthwise. Flatten both ends of the rolled paper.
-
Step 8
Tape one end of the rolled paper to the base of the paper kunai knife blade and the other end to the paper loop.
