How to Make Homemade Bath Bombs
If you like to relax with a long, hot bath, bath bombs can be just the thing to take your soaking time from the ho-hum to a level of spa-like relaxation. Bath bombs are designed to fizz when they hit the water, creating relaxing bubbles while releasing a soothing aroma and body-softening bath oil. Bath bombs can be costly to purchase from a spa or specialty store, but they can be made at home for just pennies. Things You'll Need
- 1 cup baking soda
- 1/2 cup cornstarch
- 1/8 cup Epsom salt
- 1/2 cup citric acid
- 2 tsp. sweet almond oil
- Essential oils
- Food coloring
- Large mixing bowl
- Small mixing bowl
- Witch hazel in spray bottle
- Molds (if desired)

Sift all of the dry ingredients into a medium-sized bowl and mix thoroughly.

Add 5 to 10 drops of the essential oil you have chosen and 2 tsp. of sweet almond oil.

Spray lightly with witch hazel and mix until the substance stays together when squeezed in your hands. It is important that the mixture not get too wet, so start out with only 2 or 3 sprays of witch hazel at a time.

Lightly spray molds with non-stick spray. Press the mixture firmly into molds. You can find soap molds at hobby stores, or you can use items that are lying around your house, such as ice-cube trays, mini-muffin tins or even a leftover plastic toy egg. Let sit one minute, then carefully unmold and place on wax paper.Let your bath bombs set in a dry place for at least 24 hours.

To keep your bath bombs fresh, wrap them in plastic wrap and store in a dry place. Use as often as necessary.
