Decide what kind of look you're going for. Do you want dense, full, dark lashes or just a touch of length? You'll need to decide how you want your lashes to look before you purchase the fake lashes. You can either buy a full set or individual lashes, and the quality will vary depending on where you purchase your fake lashes. Some drugstore brands will work if you're going for a one-time application. However, if you plan to wear fake eyelashes on a regular basis, you might want to consider investing in a higher-quality set.

Prepare the lashes for application. You might need to trim the lashes with scissors to fit your eye. Remove any eye makeup and start with a clean face and eyes. After you've trimmed the length of the lashes, you're ready to apply the glue. A good tip for applying the glue is to spread it on a paper plate and use a pair of tweezers to dip the fake lashes into the glue.

Apply the fake lashes carefully to the base of your natural lashes and press down gently for up to 30 seconds to get a tight hold. Repeat on the other eye.

4
Apply a couple coats of mascara and possibly a sweep of eyeliner to blend the line between the fake lashes and the natural ones. Make sure no glue is showing.

Tips & Warnings
If you want a less dramatic look, apply only a few individual lashes, rather than an entire strip.
If you want extra full lashes, don't trim the lashes. You might also want to apply the fake lashes to your bottom natural lashes.
