How to Apply Makeup to a Round Face
Face shapes come in round, square, pear heart, diamond, oblong, and oval, with the oval shape being the one considered to be the most desirable. Whatever the shape of your face, makeup application can be designed to create the look you want. Things You'll Need
- A facial cleanser
- A cup of water
- Two sponges
- Tissues
- A liquid foundation to match the color of the skin
- A liquid foundation a shade darker than the color of the skin
- Blush
- A soft powder brush
- Translucent face powder

Before applying makeup, make sure face is thoroughly cleansed and dry.

Dip one sponge into water and squeeze out the excess moisture. Blot the sponge with a tissue to remove additional water.

Apply matching liquid foundation to face with sponge and blend into skin well.

Dip second sponge into water and squeeze out the excess moisture. Blot the second sponge with a tissue to remove additional water.

Apply darker liquid foundation to hollows of cheeks with second sponge to give the appearance of a slimmer face. Blend foundation so no line of demarcation can be seen.

Apply blush to the area of the cheeks that go no lower than the imaginary line at the bottom of the nose, no further than the outer corner of the eyes and up to the center of the eyes.

Apply translucent powder to entire face with soft powder brush, brushing powder upwards and outwards.

Tips & Warnings
If skin is on the dry side, put a little moisturizer in the cup of water and stir.
If additional shading is desired to slenderize face even more, the darker foundation can be used to shade the temples and jaw line before applying the translucent powder.
