1
Cleanse your face. Prior to applying any kind of makeup, you want to start off with a clean face. Cleanse your face and towel dry it gently. Continue with your normal routine. If you apply a toner, do that first and follow up with your moisturizer. If your eyes are usually dry, apply an eye cream.
-
2
Prep your face. Once your moisturizer has absorbed into your skin it’s time to prep your face for makeup. It’s best to allow your skin 15 minutes to absorb the moisturizer. Depending on what type of finish you want, you’ll apply a MAC prepping product. If you like a glowy finish, use MAC Strobe Cream and if you prefer more of a matte finish, you can use MAC Prep & Prime. Apply a dime-size amount of the product of your choice onto your face.

Enhance your eyes. Apply the MAC Paint Pot of your choice onto your lid. This will give your eye shadow better staying power. Once you’ve applied your Paint Pot, it’s time to apply eye shadow. Apply the shadow that you will be using as a wash over your lid using an eye shadow brush. If you want to highlight your brow bone, use a lighter color right below your eyebrow and above your eye socket. If you want to contour your eye, apply a darker shadow in the crease and blend it into the other shadows using the MAC #224 blending brush. Once the eye shadow is complete, apply eyeliner. Finish up with a coat of mascara.

Apply foundation. Once your eyes are complete, it’s time to apply your foundation. Depending on your skin type, you can use either MAC Studio Fix Fluid (liquid makeup), MAC Studio Fix (powder) or MAC mineral makeup. Apply your foundation using your MAC #187 brush. If you use concealer, apply it immediately after your foundation. Set your foundation with MAC Blot Powder.
