How to Know What Programs Crashed and When in VISTA

Want to know which applications have crashed on your computer? Vista's Event Viewer has the information you need! Here's how to access it.

Instructions

Things You'll Need:

• VISTA
• Administrator Password (if applicable)

1. TO OPEN EVENT VIEWER
   
   Start-->Control Panel-->System and Maintenance-->Administrative Tools-->Event Viewer.

2. Click the "START" button.

3. Select the "CONTROL PANEL".

4. Choose "SYSTEM AND MAINTENANCE".

5. Click "ADMINISTRATIVE TOOLS".

6. Last, double click "EVENT VIEWER".

Tips & Warnings

• You can also use the search feature, in the start menu. Search for "event viewer". Double click on "event viewer" from the list of search results.
• You may be required to provide the password for the administrators account.
