Want to know which applications have crashed on your computer? Vista's Event Viewer has the information you need! Here's how to access it.

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • VISTA
  • Administrator Password (if applicable)
  1. Step 1

    TO OPEN EVENT VIEWER

    Start-->Control Panel-->System and Maintenance-->Administrative Tools-->Event Viewer.

  2. Step 2

    Click the "START" button.

  3. Step 3

    Select the "CONTROL PANEL".

  4. Step 4

    Choose "SYSTEM AND MAINTENANCE".

  5. Step 5

    Click "ADMINISTRATIVE TOOLS".

  6. Step 6

    Last, double click "EVENT VIEWER".

Tips & Warnings
  • You can also use the search feature, in the start menu. Search for "event viewer". Double click on "event viewer" from the list of search results.
  • You may be required to provide the password for the administrators account.
