Things You'll Need:
- Santa Costume
- Stationary
- Postage
-
Step 1
WRITE LETTERS
Sit down with your child and write a letter asking not only for presents, but for Santa to visit. As Christmas approaches, your child can look forward to writing and receiving letters from Santa. Of course, you will either have to write on Santa's behalf or pay a Santa letter writing service to do it for you. -
Step 2
PHONE CALLS
Have the person who will be dressing up as Santa call and speak to your child as Santa Claus. Have the Santa impersonator use a voice your child won't recognize. Let them talk about how much they look forward to seeing each other. Your child will be excited about a visit from Santa all season long. -
Step 3
PREPARE FOR THE VISIT
Have your child help prepare for Santa's arrival by baking cookies, cleaning, or wrapping a gift for Santa. This will not only be a help to you, but will also teach your child the importance of honoring guests. -
Step 4
PUT ON A SHOW
When the time comes for Santa to walk through the door, make sure Santa's visit lives up to your child's expectations. Make sure the costume looks good and Santa knows his lines. Add some special touches like footprints on the roof or chocolate reindeer droppings on the lawn. Give your child a Christmas visit from Santa to remember.

on 11/9/2008 I love this idea - every year we always throw some rocks onto the roof to simulate Santa landing (and get them to go to sleep!), the look in their eyes is pricelss and they pass right out! LOL!
