1
Cut a large key shape out of heavy card stock if you do not have or cannot find a skeleton key. It doesn't have to be fancy or perfect, as long as you can tell that it is a key.
-
2
Place the key or key-shaped card stock on a sheet of newspaper or a paper towel. Cover with glue.

3
Sprinkle the glue-covered area of the key with glitter. Allow the glue to dry completely. Turn the key over and cover the other side with glue and then sprinkle with glitter. Allow the glue on the second side to dry completely.

4
Cut a rectangle shape, about the size of a 3 x 5 card from the card stock and write a poem on it using markers or glue and glitter. You can also type up a rhyme on your computer and print it using your printer.

Use the hole punch to put a hole near the top of the key, if you are using a card stock cut-out. Cut a piece of ribbon and tie the card with the poem onto the key. Hang the Santa Claus key outside near your front door for Santa to use.
