1
Put 1 cup of rose petals in the mortar or glass bowl. Pour the oil over the petals. Any rose petals will do. Naturally, the stronger the scent of the rose petals the more scented your oil will be.
-
2
Mash up the rose petals in the oil, using the pestle or other mashing tool.
-
-
3
Let the mixture sit, covered tightly for 24 hours in a dark, dry place.
-
4
Strain the mashed rose petals from the oil.
-
5
Put the oil back in the bowl. Add new rose petals to the oil and repeat the procedure. When you are letting oil sit, always cover the container. When oil is exposed to air, it can become rancid quickly.
-
6
Strain oil into a glass dropper bottle, once you've used all the rose petals. To use, apply oil to body. A little goes a long way, so use sparingly. Enjoy!
