How to Use Accupressure for Headaches

Acupressure is a safe way to relieve pain without relying on over the counter remedies. Learn how to use acupressure points for headaches for fast relief anytime.

Instructions
  1. Step 1

    Apply pressure to the roof of your mouth using your thumb. Hold this acupressure point for several seconds. Repeat as often as necessary.

  2. Step 2

    Using your thumb, apply pressure to the fleshy part of your hand between the thumb and the forefinger. Hold the acupressure point for several seconds. Repeat with other hand. Repeat as often as necessary.

  3. Step 3

    With fingers, apply pressure on the back of your head. The fingers should be applying pressure on both sides of the bony parts of your head at the base of the skull right above the neck. Hold the acupressure point for several seconds. Repeat as often as necessary.

  4. Step 4

    Gently massage your entire scalp with your fingers. Rub the scalp for as long as desired.

Tips & Warnings
  • Each acupressure point can be used alone or in combination with another.
  • Use the acupressure point or points that offers you headache relief.
