1
Find a listing of schools. There are several esthetician programs available online. Try finding one at Schools Galore (see Resources below).
-
2
Ensure that your school choice is accredited. In the eyes of a potential employer, a degree or certificate from an unaccredited school may be worthless. Make sure your investment of time and money is a safe one by choosing a accredited school.
-
3
Prepare for some hands-on training. Skin and nail care is a hands-on type of industry, and many, if not most, online programs require some physical training to complete your program.
-
4
Finance it. If you can afford to pay for your education outright, more power to you. However, most of us need at least a little assistance, and thankfully loans and grants are available for some schools. Keep in mind that you may need to finance your education with student loans, so make sure your school choice is eligible for them.
-
5
Apply. Online applications make it relatively quick and easy.
-
6
See it through. The only thing standing in the way of your new career is you, so commit to completing the program. You can do it.
