How to Apply Emo Eye Makeup

Emo refers to a musical and fashion style. Emo kids often wear tight jeans, T-shirts and sneakers. Their hair is layered and dark, with sweeping bangs that are often worn to one side. The eyes are the center of the emo look and essential to pulling it off. A lot of eyeliner is essential!

Instructions

Things You'll Need:

• Black eyeliner
• Dark eyeshadow
• Red or turquoise eyeshadow
• Mascara
• Lip gloss

1. Apply eyeliner to the bottom of your eyes, just below the lash line. Start from the inside corner and work your way out. Go over the line several times until it is very dark.

2. Apply eyeliner on top, close to your lash line, in the same manner.

3. Apply dark eye shadow on your eyelids.

4. Apply highlights around your eyes with red or turquoise eye shadow.

5. Apply two thick coats of mascara.

Tips & Warnings

• Because the eyes are the center of the look, all other makeup should be minimal. You can use lip gloss or a neutral tone on your lips.
