Things You'll Need:
- Binoculars
- Maps
- Camera
-
Step 1
Plan a vacation to Myrtle Beach, and if possible, stay near the water, where you may catch a glimpse of the dolphins far out into the calmer water. You may also catch a look at the dolphins from Murrell's Isle, located very close by to Myrtle Beach and be able to watch them from the shoreline or docks.
-
Step 2
Rent a boat and head out into open water. The dolphins are generally located about a mile out to see and the location you rent the boat from can give you good coordinates to finding the dolphins. It is highly advisable that you have experience captaining a boat if this is the option you will take.
-
Step 3
Take a boat trip or cruise specifically for watching dolphins in Myrtle Beach. These are located throughout the marinas in Myrtle Beach. They set sail daily and trips last about two to four hours, depending on the company. Captained by professionals familiar with the area, these boats will take you straight out to where the dolphins are located and stop so you can watch them. You may also be able to get photos and touch the dolphins if they come close enough to the boat.
-
Step 4
Be sure to bring cameras and binoculars on your dolphin watch so that you can see them in detail and remember the experience for a long time.

on 9/15/2008 This sounds so lovely! I watched dolphins in California when I was a little girl (aboard the Queen Mary ship). I'd LOVE to visit Myrtle Beach to see dolphins again.
