How to Acquire the Odin Summon Spell in Final Fantasy 4
A staple of the Final Fantasy series, Odin is a powerful creature that can be summoned in battle by the girl Rydia to perform an attack that has a chance of instantly killing all enemies at once. To acquire this summon spell, your party must travel back to the castle where your quest began and prove your worth in combat to the ghost of the old king of Baron.

1
Play through the majority of the game until your party has explored the sealed cave in the underworld, Golbez has acquired all eight crystals, and your airship has been outfitted with a drill. At this point, the dwarf king of the underworld will tell you to travel to the town called Mysidia to find a path to the moon.
-
2
Drill through the hole in the underworld to return to the normal overland world map.
-
-
3
Fly the airship back to the kingdom of Baron, rather than going to the town of Mysidia as the dwarf king has instructed you to do.
-
4
Enter the castle near the town of Baron. Once you pass through the large doors, go down the stairs on the right side of the screen.
-
5
Walk through this area of the castle until you find a hallway leading to a room that appears to be empty. The spirit of the old king will appear and tell you that if you defeat him in battle, he will grant the girl Rydia new magical powers.
-
6
Defeat the king in combat by using lightning-based spells like Rydia's "Lit" spells or Edge's "Blitz" attack, and have everyone else use regular physical attacks. Once the king has been beaten, he will grant Rydia the ability to use the "Odin" summon spell.

Tips & Warnings
The king has a huge number of hit points, so if you find you cannot defeat him before he uses his instant-kill attack, travel back to the underworld and fight random monsters in the sealed cave until your party gains a few more experience levels. Then try again.
You have a limited amount of time to defeat the king before he uses an attack that will instantly kill everyone in your party. So be sure to use only your strongest attacks, and only take the time to heal your party members when absolutely necessary.
