Instructions

    • 1

Finish the majority of the game's main storyline quests. You will need to go to the moon to get the Bahamut summon spell, so make sure you already have found the Great Whale and can travel freely between Earth and the moon.

    • 2

Travel to the moon and speak with the lunarian named FuSoYa. Convince him to join your party.

    • 3
      The lunar landscape

Exit the room where you meet FuSoYa and get back in the Great Whale. Fly around the lunar landscape until you find a cave you can enter without having to travel through any other tunnels. Land the Whale and go inside the cave, which should be called "Bahamut's Cave" when you enter.

      Approaching Bahamut

Make your way through the cave, battling the various monsters and searching all the treasure chests until you find a man standing in between several pillars. Approach the man and speak with him. He will reveal that he is actually the dragon Bahamut, and that he will allow your summoner Rydia to call on him in battle if you can defeat him in combat.

      Fighting Bahamut

Defeat Bahamut in combat, and you will be able to cast the "Bahamut" summon spell.

Tips & Warnings

  • Bahamut uses a powerful attack spell against your party that can easily kill everyone in only a few hits, so cast the "Wall" spell on all party members during the battle to reflect the attack back at Bahamut.

  • The monsters in Bahamut's Cave are extremely strong and can wipe out an ill-prepared party. If you find the monsters are too difficult to beat, go back to the underworld and battle monsters in the Sealed Cave to gain some more experience levels. Then try again.
