Let Someone Know You Like Them

Don't you wish it could be as easy to ask someone if they liked you as it was in elementary school by sending them a letter saying, "do you like me?" and then having them check-off the "yes" or the "no" box? Now when you're older, sometimes it feels as if you were trying to read minds. But there is hope. And no, you don't need to fill-out one of those magazine questionnaires to know if someone likes you. Here are a few suggestions on how to approach someone and find out if they like you.

Instructions

    • 1

Make sure that the words they speak match their actions. Actions speak louder than words. A person can tell you they like you, but do they go out of their way to see you?

    • 2

Text messaging is becoming more popular, but don't get that confused with him calling you back, especially if you left him a voicemail. When you call him, does he call you back right away or at least in a timely matter, or does he wait a few days before calling you or sending you a text message? A text message here or there is OK, but constantly text messaging you what could basically be a good conversation on the phone is definitely not a good sign.

    • 3

On a date, does he or she talk about themselves the whole time and you are just saying, "Ah, huh." This means he or she really lacks interest in you or else she or he would finish their sentence or topic and then ask you a question and keep the conversation flowing.

    • 4

If after the first date, he or she doesn't call, email or text message within at least two days, she is not interested in you. A person that likes you will not play games.

    • 5

A person that likes you will also tell you exactly that. Obviously not right away, but after a few dates or weeks go by and everything is going smoothly. If not, then it's time to move on and realize that maybe he isn't that into you.

    • 6

If you catch her checking out your friends, that's a red flag. A person that likes you will not spend too much time chatting with your friends when she could be talking to you and getting to know you better.

    • 7

Being introduced to their family is almost always a good sign that they like you.

    • 8

Notice if she respects your space and career, and instead of complaining about long hours at work, she accommodates you in every which way.

    • 9

Go with your gut feelings. Let's be honest, many times we know way before the break-up comes along, but we are afraid to be alone, so we keep the relationship lingering. Sometimes as a woman or man you know when your significant other simply doesn't like you anymore or might even be cheating on you with someone else, you not only feel it in your gut - but then all of your sudden your honey is not as available as he or she used to be.Move on. You don't have to like it that someone doesn't like you back or left you for someone else, but by no means does that mean that you are unloveable, it just means that he or she wasn't the one for you. You are loveable and start spending time with those that remind you what a strong minded and beautiful or handsome indivudal you are. And hey! If you are over the age of 18 years-old there is always Match.com for online dating. What do you have to lose, nothing, what to have to gain, everything!

Tips & Warnings

  • Pay attention to his or her body language when they are talking to you or holding you.

  • See if he or she holds your hand in public.

  • Pay attention to see if she or he answers her or his phone when you are around.

  • Be honest and have the courage to ask when in doubt.

  • Make sure you stick to your words, so if you tell her or him that you want nothing to do with them after they reject you, then stick to that and don't text message them or call them.

  • Remember to respect yourself at all times.

  • Just because it happened once doesn't mean it's going to happen again.

  • It is never good to assume that someone does or doesn't like you, so pay attention to their actions and ask them if you really want to know.

  • Be prepared if they're response might not be exactly what you thought you might hear.

Passed, in what sense? Please elaborate. Why are you talking to him only once a week? Is it work related, is he busy, extremely busy with his career? Does he call or text? And I was just told my one of my closet guy friends, that well, "guys move slow, if you haven't noticed." I know, I know, we women get all excited and start making plans before we even get the girlfriend title. Do not give up just yet. Answer my Qs, and then I'll tell you if giving up if what you should do. And are you guys dating? Friends with benefits? Explain pls. Also remember the rubber band theory: the more you pull away, the closer he gets and vice versa. Look forward in reading your response.
