How to Treat Infected Pierced Ears

People get their ears pierced for many reasons but keep them free of infection is something that everyone need to do. By cleaning your ears often you will be able to keep them free of infection but what should you do if they become infected? Here are a few easy steps to rid your pierced ears of infection.   • Peroxide
  • Q-Tip or cotton ball
  • Small cup (optional)
  • Clean wash cloth

      Remove your earrings from your ears. It is best to remove other earrings in other pierced holes also to making cleaning the infected hole easier.

      Take a Q-tip or cotton ball and saturate it with peroxide. It is best to pour some peroxide into the cap or a small cup to reduce the risk of reusing the cotton ball or Q-tip in the container.

      Take the Q-tip or cotton ball that is saturated with peroxide and place it on the infected pierced hole. Squeeze the Q-tip or cotton ball over the hole to release the peroxide.

      The peroxide will bubble and this means it is bubbling out the infection. Once the bubbling stops, wipe your ear with a clean washcloth and warm water.

      Repeat Steps 2 through 4 again.

      You should do this two to three times a day for one to two days until the infection is completely gone. If you feel the infection is gone repeat the process one more time to make sure the infection is gone and you have cured your infected pierced ears.
