How to Draw Omega From Sonic Heroes
Drawing Omega is a bit of a challenge because there are so many shapes and robotic parts. If you break this robot into a few basic elements or sections, it will be easier to draw. To create Omega, we will break him into the head and body, legs and arms. This will make the drawing easier to handle. Pay close attention to how Omega is built, and what shapes are used to draw him. He is a boxy character that can be built on a page using mainly boxes and rectangles.

1
Draw Omega's body by making an oval shape that is simple and not very narrow. Right below this, draw a trapezoid that is larger on the bottom than it is on the top.
-
2
Add two rectangles to establish the shoulders, and from these rectangles, draw a vertical line at a slight angle to establish the arms.
-
-
3
Add some depth to your shoulders by drawing a cube-like shape behind the rectangles. Sketch in the arms using simple vertical lines, just to get a feel for where they will be.
-
4
Draw and define the body and head of Omega. The head is very small and just sort of peeps out of the big body. So, draw in the eyes, then make a small "bump" shape for the head on top. Define the lines and make them sharper. Omega's head is nothing more than a metal hood that comes out a little over his eyes.

5
Draw the body, which consists of a band across the chest in red that can be drawn with a simple rectangle. As for the piece in the middle of the chest that juts out slightly, sketch this in with two vertical lines and a horizontal line in the center.
-
6
Draw the arms by creating two cylindrical shapes within the sketch lines you've already made. Add the hands and fingers.
-
7
Draw two more cylinders for the legs inside the trapezoid you drew for the legs right at the bottom, with a little space for the feet. Above these cylinders you will draw two more skinny tubes that are his upper legs. Between the skinny upper and fat lower legs, draw a simple circle and shade it in as a sphere. This is the joint for the legs.
-
8
Connect the cylinders you drew for the forearms to the shoulders with smaller cylinders just like the upper legs, then shape the forearms so they are curved. Your cylinders won't be perfectly straight, just curve the lines a little, keeping with the form of the cylinder.
-
9
Finish the arms by drawing a larger ring above the hands at the end of the forearm. This is a large but thin cylinder ring. Add the pyramid shaped spikes around this "cuff."
-
10
Add the feet to the bottom of the legs. These are very much like regular shoes, but shade them as you would shade a metal object, with drastic contrast and thick shade areas. Highlight with patches of white drawn right into the object.

Tips & Warnings
Add as much or as little detail as you like at first, until you get a good handle on the proportions of Omega and how he is put together. Take a lot of time to learn the shapes that make up this robot, and your drawing will look a lot better.
