Make a Toothpick Disappear

Place a ring on the ring finger of your left or right hand. If you're married, you can use your wedding band.

Hold the middle of the toothpick with your thumb and index finger. Allow the bottom of the toothpick to rest on the ring finger, with the ring on it.

Use your thumb to push the toothpick between your middle finger and ring finger--feeding the toothpick into the top of the ring--above your ring finger.

Continue pushing with your thumb until the entire toothpick is no longer visible from the bottom of your hand. The ring will fasten the toothpick to the top of your ring finger.

Open your palm to show that the toothpick has disappeared.

Gather five toothpicks. Gently snap each toothpick in half, making sure they're still fastened together. Each toothpick should look like a "V."
