You will need to download Windows Media Encoder. Just search in Google for "WME Encoder Download" or go to this website, and follow the directions to install the software: http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?FamilyID=5691ba02-e496-465a-bba9-b2f1182cdf24&displaylang=en

Once you've got your software setup, plug the video camera into your computer using the firewire. Set your camera to VCR ode, and rewind the tape.

    • 3

Open the WME encoder, and follow the directions to Capture. The WME encorder should take care of the rest, but you will need to stop it if your video ends before the tape ends.

Sign up for a YouTube account (if you haven't already), and follow the directions for submission.

Tips & Warnings

  • Read the directions for capturing on the WME Encoder before you get started as features vary depending on which version you get.

  • Once you start recording the video, you can not stop it until it's done. Doing so will put your video in two files, and you won't be able to upload the whole thing to YouTube.
