There is nothing worse than having a candle that you had burning on a table or shelf suddenly burn unevenly and drip onto your carpeting. Here's a simple way to remove melted candle wax from your carpet.

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • An Absorbant Cotton Cloth Like A Washcloth
  • A Clothes Iron
  • Carpet Stain Remover
  1. Step 1

First thing to do is preheat the iron and then put a very absorbant washcloth over the wax stain.

  2. Step 2

Make sure the iron is on the cotton setting and put pressure on the cloth on top of the stain. As the wax heats back up, it will start to melt again and get absorbed into the cloth. Depending on the size of the spot you may need to use more than one cloth, unless the cloth is big enough to be folded over and another spot on it can be used. Repeat until all wax has been absorbed.

  3. Step 3

Depending on the color of the candle wax, you may need to follow up with a carpet stain remover. I recommend Spot Shot. It is the best carpet stain remover I have ever used. Follow the label directions and repeat until the spot disappears.
