How to Use Depilatory Cream

Depilatory cream can be less intimidating than waxing and will leave your legs less stubbly than shaving. Follow these simple steps to get smooth legs that last. Does this Spark an idea?

Instructions

    • 1

      Test the cream on your elbow to make sure that you do not have an allergic reaction to the cream.

      Take a hot shower to open up the hair follicles on your legs. Use bar soap, not shower gel.

      Apply the depilatory cream to your bare legs. Wait for approximately 3 to 5 minutes. Check the instructions for the specific cream that you purchased and follow their time recommendation exactly.

      Rinse your legs with warm water and a washcloth.

      Rub your legs with the washcloth in the direction that the hair is growing. This will help remove more stubborn hair.

      Take another shower or wash your legs with soap and water.
