Like most Web browsers, Internet Explorer 6 can be configured to “remember” the various passwords you use to log in to your email account, bank accounts and frequently visited websites. If you have canceled an account, or if you share your computer with others and you’d like to remove stored passwords from IE 6 as a security precaution, it’s easy to do and requires just a few mouse clicks.

Instructions

Launch Internet Explorer 6. Select “Internet Options” from the Tools menu on the browser’s top toolbar.

    • 2

Click the “Content” tab, then click the “AutoComplete” button.

    • 3

To remove stored passwords, click “Clear Passwords.” You also have the option of clearing stored data that you’ve entered into forms. To do this, click “Clear Forms.”

Click "OK" to save your changes.
