Things You'll Need

  • 3 tsp jojoba oil
  • 3 tsp apricot-kernel oil
  • 1 tsp beeswax
  • 5 tsp rose water
  • 5 drops carrot-seed essential oil
  • 1/4 tsp borax

Instructions

      Placing jojoba oil, apricot-kernel oil and the beeswax into a small saucepan. Heat on a very low setting and be careful not to simmer.

      Remove from heat and stir mixture to blend smoothly.

      In a different small saucepan place rose water and heat, while heating place borax and stir until borax is completely dissolved. Remove from heat.

      Placing the oil mixture into an ice-bath, whisk rapidly while drizzling the water mixture. The cream will steadily set.

      Once cream is cool you will then mix in the carrot-seed oil.

      Place finished cream into a clean 2oz cosmetic jar for storage.
      The cream will last for about a 1 month in a cool room temperature setting, it will last for 2 months if refrigerated.

Tips & Warnings

  • When you are applying your cream use a clean tool such as a q-tip, small spatula, etc to avoid bacterias entering into cream which can cause infections.

  • If you wear contact lens, it is best to apply cream sparingly and let soak into your skin at least 10-15 minutes before putting on lens. Extra cream can cause your lens to fog up.
