Things You'll Need:
- computer with internet
- business, website, affiliate product or service to promote
- some writing skills
- time, effort and patience
-
Step 1
What is Article Marketing? it is a free technique used by Internet Marketers and refers to promoting any business, website, affiliate product or service by writing articles about them and submitting them to artilce directories.
-
Step 2
Length of Article : Ideally you'll want the size of your articles to be about 300-500 words if you want to get listed in search engines like google or yahoo. Note: The size of your article can be more or less depending upon which artilce directory you choose to submit them to.
-
Step 3
Structure: Introduction, Content, Conclusion and Author Bio or Resource Box.
-
Step 4
Keywords or Phrases: choose one keyword per article. Keywords and key phrases should show up in your title, introduction and content. Tip : For a 500 word article I would use a keyword about 7 times anymore than that might be considered as spam and you will not be listed in search engines.
-
Step 5
How to choose keywords or phrases : Use Googles Adwords Keyword Tool or WordTracker's Suggestion Tool (free), type in your keyword and the tools will come up with other suggestions. It will also show how many times people are searching for those keywords. After choosing a keyword go to google search engine and type in that keyword with quotes, this will show you how many times it appears on the internet with those exact words. Anything under 500 would be great but under 5000 is good too. Also look for atleast a few advertisements on the right, that means people are paying for those keywords.

on 4/8/2009 What about a link to Ezine Articles? People will need a place to submit their articles.Writing articles gives great Google juice. Good suggestion to use Wordtracker. You might be overlooking some great keywords that others are missing.Keep in mind that you should also include links to a Squidoo page or other website like a blog. You want to guide your readers to more information on your article's topic.
