1. Use a keyword research tool such as Wordtracker or the Google Adwords tool to search for keyword phrases that get at least three hundred queries per month. Why not choose a keyword phrase with more searches? Because those also have more search engine results. Low competition is the key to profit.

2. Start your blog on the free blogging platform. Remember that everything in that blog should have that keyword phrase in it: every post, every article, every picture, every tag on the page should include your keyword phrase. Be sure to include great information your readers will want to subscribe to.

3. Monetize your blog. That is, put on ads or programs or products to make money with. Do not go overboard. Some contextual advertising, such as Google Adsense, and one or two affiliate program products will work.

4. Market your blog with pay per click, article marketing, forum posting, and other quality methods. With targeted traffic comes profits.
