Opening up an arts & crafts or vintage shop on Etsy is easy and inexpensive. But in order to maximize your sales, you need to promote your listings. Follow the steps below to bring attention to your Esty shop.

Step 1

Let friends and family know that you have an Etsy shop by sending them an email with a link to the shop. Ask them to forward the link on if they like what they see. Consider offering a referral bonus but don't give away your profits!
Step 2

Add a link to your Etsy shop to your email signature.
Step 3

If you participate in any online forums, add a link to your Etsy shop to your signature there.
Step 4

Start a blog where you talk about your shop and post whenever you list new items. You can blog for free with Blogger.
Step 5

Make friends on Etsy by selecting other shops as your 'favorites'.
Step 6

Participate in the community forums at Etsy. You will be able to network with others and bring attention to your shop. Visiting the Business forum will provide you with other great promotion ideas.
Step 7

Have free business cards printed up and hand them out when you meet others who might be interested in your shop. See the article under resources below about how to get free business cards.
Step 8

Write an article about your craft at EzineArticles.com and include a link to your shop in the bio info.
Step 9

Create a Squidoo lens about your craft and include a link to your Etsy shop.
