How to Keep Animals Away From Plastic Bags of Garbage

In the summer or in warmer climates, if we do not have enough garbage cans, it may be necessary to put the garbage out in just the plastic bags. Here is how to keep animals away from it and creating a huge mess. The garbage man will not pick this up and you will be left to clean the mess.

Things You'll Need:

• A large bottle of ammonia.
• A plastic spray bottle.

1. Pour the ammonia into the spray bottle. Pour only the amount you will need at a time.

2. When you have set out the garbage to be picked up, spray each exposed bag thoroughly.

3. Spray a small area around the bag , also.

Tips & Warnings

• By pouring only what you will need at a time, the ammonia will not weaken in the spray bottle.
• Spray the ammonia well away from your face.
• If there is wind or a breeze, spray along the direction of the breeze not into it!
• Cap bottles tightly and store safely away from children.
