Knol, Google's new Wikipedia-style platform where anyone can publish content, has worked out a deal with the New Yorker magazine. Every article at Knol can include a New Yorker cartoon, absolutely free. Here's how.

Instructions
  1. Step 1

    Get familiar with Knol. It has strong backing from Google and is likely to become a huge presence on the web. See Resource links, below, for general information on Knol.

  2. Step 2

    New Yorker cartoons are one of the publishing industry's great treasures. Knol articles are permitted to include one cartoon from the New Yorker's vast archives, absolutely free.

  3. Step 3

    To incorporate a cartoon, click on the image icon while composing your knol, and select "New Yorker Cartoons" from the pull-down menu.

  4. Step 4

    Follow the instructions to search the New Yorker archives at Cartoon Bank, and select the one you'd like to add.

  5. Step 5
