Do you want to encourage your child to try new foods and encourage their creativity without a bunch of fancy gadgets? Try this simple and hilarious idea.

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • High chair
  • Clothes baby can get dirty or just leave them in diaper
  • Three different types of pureed, canned baby food
  • Camera
  1. Step 1

Baby has lots of new things to explore and they will love finger painting with their food. Since everythings seems to go straight into thier mouth around the ages of 4-10 months this is a great way to let them sample and expand their creativity. First, make sure baby can get dirty, because they difinetly will.

  2. Step 2

Place baby in their highchair and secure.

  3. Step 3

Spoon three tablespoons of different baby foods on to high chair top. As you do this tell baby what each one is. Bananna, carrots, etc.

  4. Step 4

Let baby taste while they paint and get your camera. These are the moments we remember.

  5. Step 5

Clean up. Of course if your baby loves bathtime then this will be easy.

Tips & Warnings
  • To control mess, try putting newspaper under high chair for easy clean-up. Also plastic wrap works well.
