Things You'll Need:
- favorite quote, definition, title, verse that you want added to your scrapbook
- Photo editing software that saves files in .png format. I'm using Adobe Photoshop Elements 5.0
- Paper to print if you are a traditional or hybrid scrapper.
- Lots of pretty fonts to play with. These can be downloaded free from sources like www.dafont.com
-
Step 1
File>NewCreate a new file in your photo editing software. I like to use 6" by 6" and 300 pixels/inch. Make sure you use a transparent background.
-
Step 2
Use several layersBreak up your quote into bits by what you want to highlight. Here is a definition that I am doing. Notice that I have separated each phrase as a separate layer that I can work with individually.
-
Step 3
Vary shapes, sizes and fontsChoose fancy fonts for each word of phrase. I like to play with the placement of the words too. Sometimes I add decorative swirls and flowers using brushes. These can be downloaded online too.

Step 4
Wordart freebies on my blogSave your file as a .png to use as an overlay on a digital scrapbook page or print it onto your own paper. Files saved as a .jpeg will have a white background that will show up on a digital file.
