A business card is a must for any business person. As a consumer a business card can be helpful in remembering where, what, and who, but dreadfully with a pocket full of them only a few will really stand out. Learn how to make your business card stand out.

  1. Step 1

    Understand that business cards are a handy tool in the business world and not every card is equal. That being said that while a free or print it your self business card will spell out the needed information, it will probably do nothing positive for your business image.

  2. Step 2

    Be creative when designing your business card. Use what is unique in your business to make the cards stand out. For instance if your have a scrapbook store do not hold back on the creative touches such as off shapes and hole punches. Or if your business revolves around a service your provide such a Mortgage Officer or Law Services, consider using a professional photograph of your self.

  3. Step 3

    A white back ground can seam generic, consider adding a bit of color to make it pop out from a table full of business cards. Using a off shade color or black as a background can give stand out appeal.

  4. Step 4

    Keep the quality of the stock you use for the card high. Make card stock is thick and with a good grade of texture.

Tips & Warnings
  • When making a business card stand out it is always important to keep the business market in mind. For instance, if you work as a lawyer you would not use a cartoon on the back of your card talking about mechanics.
