How to Make Coney Island Chili Dog Sauce
New York's Coney Island is famous for its beach, its rides and its food. The hot dogs in particular are summertime favorites, so much so that Coney Island-style hot dogs and chili dogs are now available in restaurants all over the country. But you don't have to go to Coney Island or even down the block for Coney Island-style chili dogs: you can make the chili sauce yourself. Does this Spark an idea?

1
Brown the hamburger in a large saucepan while breaking into small pieces. Sprinkle with salt and pepper while you are cooking. There will be fat in the pan. Do not drain the fat.
-
2
Put the hamburger and remaining ingredients into a crock pot to cook, or add the remaining ingredients to the saucepan. Cook on low heat for 30 to 45 minutes. The sauce will begin to thicken. Stir once in a while so that the bottom doesn't burn.
