  1. Step 1

    Dish Storage
    Place an armoire on a covered patio or clear a few shelves in the garage for quick and easy storage of item used in your outdoor party. Use sturdy, reusable plates, glasses, utensils and candles.

  2. Step 2

    Table Coverings
    Use outdoor fabrics for table coverings. Or try a vinyl coated oilcloth which can be wiped clean:
    Get a Head Start: Stock up on charcoal, clean and season the grill, refill propane tank all ahead of time. Place all your party supplies nearby including your grilling tools and serving platters, tables and chairs.

    Seating
    Seating for a large group can be by topping a few folding tables with rustic doors or a single piece of plywood covered with cloth. When not in use you can store in your garage or shed.

    Lighting
    Enjoy some candlelight by using hurricane lanterns or jam jars as candle containers. The glass will shield the flame and help the candle burn evenly.

    Keep them Comfortable
    Run a fan near the dining area to keep mosquitoes away. This will also keep your quests cool. Fill a basket with insect repellent and sunscreen for your guests to use. They will thank you later!

    Simple Syrups
    Simple Syrups are infused with flavor and let guests customize their drinks. Boil 1 cup of water and 1 cup of sugar. Remove from heat and add flavoring. Summer favorites are orange, mint, ginger and rosemary. Let steep for 30 minutes. Strain the mixture and discard the solids. Chill in an airtight container. Serve with seltzer, iced tea and liquor.

    Decor
    Use foliage from around your yard. Flowering and fruiting branches look elegant. Fern Fronds and Hosta leaves look beautiful arrange in jars.

  8. Step 8

    Avoid Crowds at the Bar
    Set up multiple beverage stations. Galvanized tubs, buckets and planters work perfectly. Place an assortment of drinks in each container.

  9. Step 9

    Condiments
    For more accessible tabletops, remove condiments form their original packaging. Place in small dishes, ramekin or even mismatched glasses and teacups.

  10. Step 10

    Messy Meal solution
    When having BBQ, Clambakes or Crab Legs cover the tables with butcher paper for easy clean up. Set out damp paper towels for easy clean up for all those messy fingers.

  11. Step 11

    Say Yes
    Jot down a list of last minute tasks. This will not only help your prepare for the party but will also prepare a list for friends or guests who insist on helping.
