Have you ever been to the beach and noticed how your acne has cleared up immediately after going in the salt water? Salt is a natural cure for oily and acne prone skin. It can be used in pure form to exfoliate and smooth the skin while delivering immediate acne reduction. It is also a smoothing exfoliate for rough dry skin. It can be used on the elbows, knees, feet, and any other areas that are in need of softness.

Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Table salt
  • Vitamin E Drops
  • Vitamin A drops
  • Sterile Applicator
  • Washcloth
  1. Step 1
     

    Mix salt, olive oil, vitamin A, and vitamin E drops together in a small accessible container.

  2. Step 2
     

    Use a waxing applicator or other sterile applicator to apply to face.

  3. Step 3
     

    Apply a small amount of mixture to cheeks, forehead, chin and nose. Be very careful to avoid eyes.

  4. Step 4
     

    Use a circular motion to gently massage mixture on all areas of the face using either clean fingertips or a soft washcloth, excluding the eyes.

  5. Step 5

    Rinse completely with warm water and a washcloth.

  6. Step 6
     

    Pat dry and follow with a moisturizer if the face is dry or acne medication for blemishes.

  7. Step 7

    May be used up to three times a week for an effective scrub.

Tips & Warnings
  • Vitamin A and E in liquid form can be purchased in a health food store.
  • Perform patch tests on the inside arm at the elbow crook and on the cheek in front of the ear before application. Scrub gently and rinse. Wait for 30 minutes before full application.
  • If irritation occurs during application remove immediately with mild soap and water.
