How to Make Sunday Brunch

It has become very popular to make Sunday brunch to host a gathering. For entertaining friends or to celebrate a family event, gatherings for brunch are fun, easy, and cost effective. The time of day is convenient, and the menu choices are varied.

  1. Step 1

    Decide on your menu. Offer two or three breakfast items, and two or three lunch items. Suggestions include eggs (scrambled or quiche), baked French toast, fruit salad, a green salad, egg salad on croissants, a pasta dish, and grilled chicken. Additions such as muffins or coffee cake are always appreciated as well.

  2. Step 2

    Determine what can be made the night before, and what can be easily prepared the morning of your party. Decide what you will need for the coffee bar and condiments such as jams, lemons wedges, and salad dressings.

    Set the table or buffet counter with pretty dishes, colorful napkins, and silverware. Place colorful flowers in a vase. Add a pitcher of lemonade or tea and glasses. Remember to put out cream and sugar for coffee, and honey or lemon for tea drinkers.

    Look for a large container you can fill with ice. Place beverage selections such as sparkling water, bottled water, and other bottled or canned drinks so guests can serve themselves easily and allows you to put your attention elsewhere.

    Consider using warming plates and crockpots so guests can have access to second helpings that are still warm.

    Put your camera in an easily accessible place so you are reminded to capture your event on film. A poloroid camera makes great take away gifts for your guests and is a nice remembrance of your get together.
