1. 

   Sign up for a Google Knol account. If you already have gmail, your information will transfer into your Knol Google account.

2. Fill in your profile, adding a picture and basic information about yourself.

3. Adjust the settings to meet your preferences. You can allow other authors to collaborate on your Knols, or you can set it to only yourself as the author.

4. Share your knowledge by writing Knols on topics in which you have experience or knowledge. Be sure to research and verify your facts, as Knol Google's reputation as an online information source depends on accuracy in each user's Knols.

5. Include resources, tips, photos, and links to improve your Knol and inform your readers. Include as much information on the topic as you can, and point readers to your sources or sites they can visit for more in-depth information on the topic. Pictures, photos, charts and diagrams enhance the written content immensely and keep the reader's interest, so add these to your Knols.

Use Google Knol to Make Money Online

1. Sign up for a Google Adsense account with Google online. If you already have a Google Adsense account, you're one step closer to earning money with your knol.

2. Verify your information with Google Adsense as needed. You'll have to verify your identification before you can receive a payment.

3. Go to your Google Knol account and link your adsense account with your Knol profile.

4. Verify the link by checking your email and following the instructions in the email from Google.

5. Elect to include Adsense ads in your Google Knols. You can do this in your Knol profile to make it the default choice, or individually for each Knol. It may take several days for Knol to review and verify your Adsense account, so watch for Adsense ads to appear on your articles.
