Things You'll Need:
- pillows, larger underwear, comfortable pj's
-
Step 1
First realize this is harder than a c-section if you've had one. Be prepared for the emotional roller coaster that includes your own personal summers and insomnia.
-
Step 2
Purchase larger underwear so they will not bother your sutures. As well as comfortable pajama's. A nightshirt would be your best bet since you don't want to bend to pick up your bottoms post-op.
-
Step 3
Also it is a good idea to prepare meals that can be easily frozen and reheated prior to surgery. Neither you or your helpers will have to think about dinner.
-
Step 4
Get your rest. It is OK to not call everyone back right away. Obviously you needed surgery for a reason. Give your body time to rest and heal.
-
Step 5
Last tslk to your doctor. They are technically your employee. Use your voice it is so important to make them understand your concerns and needs.
