Wedding centerpieces should be as unique as the happy couple. For that reason, many brides and grooms struggle to find the perfect centerpiece that captures both their taste and the theme of the wedding. Winter weddings can add another level of difficulty because traditional flower arrangements are typically used in summer and spring ceremonies.

Instructions

Difficulty: Moderately Easy

Step1
Coordinate your centerpiece ideas with your theme such as Christmas, New Year's or simply a winter wedding. Decide how much of the seasonal items you want to incorporate into your wedding activities.
Step2
Decide how much space you want your centerpieces to occupy. If you have room to spare, consider placing small, artificial Christmas trees in the center of each table. You can spray paint the trees to match your wedding colors. Hang crystal ornaments and battery-lit lights on the branches. If trees aren't your thing, wrap empty boxes in elegant paper and create small stacks of "gifts" as your centerpieces. Leave the top box open and fill it with rose petals or carnations.
Step3
Place glass bowls in the center of the table if you're searching for a medium-sized centerpiece. Fill the bowls with water and fill them with rose petals and floating candles. Wrap some tinsel or holly around the base of the bowls. For another average-sized option, frame photos of the bride and groom as children and one of them together. Use silver frames and place the photographs amidst white carnations and pine. Spray some fake snow on the pine for a nice winter touch.
Step4
Keep it simple it you're limited on space. Arrange a snow globe and a few candles in the center of each table. A traditional winter centerpiece includes placing candles and flowers within a wreath.
Step5
Consider substituting flowers with traditional wintertime trinkets. Snowflake confetti and miniature nutcrackers will add a playfulness to your centerpieces. Decorate pine cones by spray painting them to match your wedding colors and sprinkling on some glitter.
