How to Make a Rose Wrist Corsage
Corsages are small arrangements of flowers worn on a lapel or the wrist. Wrist corsages are popular for proms, dances and weddings. These corsages are easy to slide on and off in case the flowers get in the way while dancing. Make this corsage with fresh or artificial flowers.
Things You'll Need
- 2 roses
- 2 sprigs of babies breath or other filler
- 2 sprigs of small flowers
- Scissors or wire cutters
- Floral tape
- Elastic band
- Hot glue and hot glue gun
Instructions
-
-
1
Cut all the stems 1 to 2 inches from the bottom of the flower. Remove the leaves from the stem.
-
2
Form the roses, small flowers and filler flowers into the shape you want for the corsage.
-
-
3
Tape the stems of the flowers together in the shape you created in Step 2 to hold the flowers together.
-
4
Place a few leaves around the outside of the flowers to create a base for the corsage. Tape the stems of the leaves to the stems of the flowers.
-
5
Cut the elastic band to fit snugly around the wrist. 4 inches is normally a good length unless the person wearing the corsage is a child or has thin wrists. In that case, measure the wrist or use 2 to 3 inches of elastic.
-
6
Glue the leaves to the bottom of the roses. Glue the elastic band to the back of the corsage.

Tips & Warnings
Store live corsages in a refrigerator or freezer before using to help the flowers stay fresh longer.
A fresh flower wrist corsage will only last a few days.
