Things You'll Need:

  • Card stock
  • Pen
  • Scissors
  • Felt
  • Googly eyes
  • Miniature green pom-poms
  • Candy canes
  • Hot glue
  1. Step 1

Make a template on card stock for the mouse body. Draw a teardrop shape that is 6-inches long and approximately 4-inches wide at the widest part. Cut out the template.

  2. Step 2

Trace the Christmas mouse body onto red felt. Cut out each mouse with sewing shears.

  3. Step 3

Cut two slits in the center of the mouse. Cut the slits vertically. Make each slit 1-inch long and leave half an inch between the slits.

  4. Step 4

Create the mouse ears by cutting out a barbell shape from a piece of card stock. Trace the barbells onto green felt, then cut them out. Slide the ears through the slits on the mouse body.

  5. Step 5

Glue googly eyes on the near the point of the teardrop. Glue a green or pink pom-pom on the tip for the nose.

  6. Step 6

Give the Christmas mouse a tail by sliding a candy cane on the bottom of the mouse and securing it between the fabric from the ears and the mouse body. Twist the candy cane so that the hook faces up.
