Candy corn is the ultimate Halloween treat. You can use the colorful candies to fill glass jars and use them as Halloween decorations. Consider making several, and sharing the tasty candy jars with your party guests.

Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Jelly cars or other small jars with lids
  • 1 bag of candy corn
  • Orange or black cotton fabric
  • Rubber band
  • Orange or black raffia
  • Orange nail polish (optional)
  • Fine point permanent pen, black (optional)
  1. Step 1

Wash the jelly jar and lid, and dry them thoroughly.

  2. Step 2

Fill the dry jelly jar up to the top with candy corn.

  3. Step 3

Draw a circle on a piece of orange or black fabric as big as the jar lid, plus about 1 inch, and cut it out.

  4. Step 4

Attach the fabric circle to the jar lid with a rubber band.

  5. Step 5

Tie an orange or black raffia bow around the jar lid.

  6. Step 6

Draw some tiny jack o'lanterns on the outside of the jar with orange fingernail polish and a black fine point marker, if you like.

Tips & Warnings
  • Have a fun Halloween party game with your candy corn jar. Ask the guests to write down how many candy corns are in the jar. The guest with the closest estimate wins the jar. (Be sure to count the candy corns when you fill the jar!)
  • Make small party favor candy corn jars for your party guests to take home. Simply use baby food jars, and follow the directions above.
