1
Put your hand on a piece of colored poster paper, with your fingers closed. Trace around your hand lightly with a pencil and cut the shape out with scissors. Do the same thing with your other hand, using the same color poster paper. These will be the butterfly's top wings.

2
Trace around each hand one more time on a different color of poster paper, and cut out. These will be the butterfly's bottom wings.

-
3
Draw an oblong shape on black poster paper for the butterfly's body, with a round head on top. Cut out the shape.
-
4
Use white craft glue to attach the handprint wings to the back of the butterfly's body.
-
5
Glue googly eyes on the butterfly's head. Cut a pipe cleaner in half and glue it to the back of the butterfly's head as antennae.
-
6
Decorate the handprint butterfly with glitter, colored markers or pencils, or any way you desire.
-
7
Add a small magnet if you want the handprint butterfly to be a refrigerator magnet.
