Poser is a software program with which you can create animated, 3-D polymesh characters to add to your own animated movies. Learning how to morph target areas in Poser Face Room allows you to create interesting changes in body shape and faces for your animated characters.

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Computer
  • Poser software
  1. Step 1

Select an animated character, and then select the part of its body the morph was created for. Go the "Parameter Palette" and select the "Properties" tab. Click "Load Morph Target," which opens up a dialog box in which you can load the morph of your character. Turn the dial to see if your morph has loaded.

  2. Step 2

Click the part of your Poser character that you want to morph and click "Add Morph Target." When prompted, fill in the name of the file and name it. A dial with numbers will appear.

  3. Step 3

Spin the dial to study different morphing capabilities. A small movement can make huge changes to your Poser character. Move the dial to 0 or 1 to see how it looks and experiment with the image. You also can spin the dial into negative numbers.

Tips & Warnings
  • Polymesh means that you create an animated over a skeletal structure, and then put animated skins on top of it. This kind of animation makes your 3D characters appear more realistic.
