If you don't like the smell of vapor rubs and other muscle creams, there is an alternative that can treat muscle pain without the odor. Massage aromatherapy oil into your skin to relieve muscle pain, and to soothe and nurture the skin.

Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • 6-oz. dark glass bottle (sterilized)
  • Small pot of water
  • 3 tbsp. sweet almond oil
  • 2 tbsp. jojoba oil
  • 1 tsp. vitamin E oil
  • 15 drops rosemary essential oil
  • 15 drops lavender essential oil
  1. Step 1

Sterilize the bottle. Remove the cap and place it with the bottle in a small pot of water. Bring the water to a rolling boil and wait 1 minute before turning off the heat. Leave the bottle and cap in the water until they cools. Remove them and place them upside down to dry.

  2. Step 2

Mix the oils in the bottle. Add 3 tbsp. of sweet almond oil, 2 tbsp. of jojoba oil and 1 tsp. of vitamin E oil. Add 15 drops of rosemary essential oil and 15 drops of lavender essential oil.

  3. Step 3

Place the cap tightly on the bottle and shake gently. During the 3 days after mixing, shake the bottle gently 2 or 3 times a day to blend the oils.
