1
Pick out your decorations. Options include ribbon, lights, bows and "picks," which are decorations glued to floral wire, or a "pick." The size and quantity of these items depends on the size of your wreath. A large wreath can accommodate wider ribbons and larger picks.
-
2
Fluff up the wreath before you get started. Wreaths are usually matted down when you bring them home from the store. Plug in your glue gun and insert a glue stick so it can start melting.

3
Wrap ribbon all the way around the wreath. Don't pull too tight as you go around the sides of the wreath. If you have a lot of picks to put on the wreath, space the ribbon a bit wider as you wrap it, since you don't want it to look cluttered. Put on any lights before you put the ribbon on.
-
4
Lay your decorations onto the evergreen wreath. Play around with them to get them positioned the way you want. If you want to put on any bows, position them as well.
-
5
Glue down the decorations when you've got them set. Squeeze some glue onto the back of each pick and press the pick into the wreath for a second so it can dry. Remove any strings the glue gun leaves behind.
