Many people are using hoodia to suppress their appetites and lose weight. Hoodia is a cactus-like succulent that grows in the deserts of South Africa, Namibia, Botswana and Angola. The San Bushmen of these areas claimed to have used hoodia for thousands of years to stave off thirst and hunger while hunting.

Instructions

Difficulty: Moderately Challenging

Step1
Wash and dry a hairless section of your body, such as the stomach, upper arm, back or shoulder. Apply a new patch each day to the selected area, leaving each patch on for 24 hours. It may take a couple days for the hoodia patch's appetite-reducing effects to begin.
Step2
Continue to exercise regularly and drink plenty of water. Hoodia patch manufacturers recommend wearing the patches at least 90 days to achieve maximum results. You may also purchase hoodia in powder, liquid, capsule or tea form.
Step3
Learn the side effects of hoodia. Since hoodia is a supplement, the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) doesn't regulate it. Some studies indicate that hoodia may harm the liver and may interact with other drugs. Diabetics shouldn't use hoodia because it interferes with the body's perception of blood sugar levels. Pregnant or nursing women should avoid hoodia.
