How to buy Pottery Making Equipment

There are people who may think that all you need to create pottery is a wheel and some clay, but anyone who creates pottery knows it takes a lot more than that. Select the right type of pottery wheel for your needs. Consider a few different factors when selecting your pottery wheel, such as cost, longevity, portability and work space.

Determine the type of clay processing equipment you'll need. You can choose from clay mixers, which blend clay body ingredients and mix them with water; pugmills, which homogenize moist clay; and pugger-mixers, which combine the functions of mixers and pugmills.
