Congratulations on your engagement! Every bride deserves the wedding of her dreams. The dress, the attendants, the reception, so much to think about. What about the trip to the church?
Unlimited choices abound for your transportation. What about a horse-drawn carriage or sleigh, a stretch limo, a vintage Rolls Royce, or even a restored
'57 Chevy?

Difficulty: Moderately Easy

Things You'll Need:

  1. Step 1

For a storybook beginning to your special day, look into hiring a horse and carriage for the ride to the wedding destination. "A horse-drawn carriage isn't expensive-it's priceless," says Beth Podhajecki, membership liaison for Carriage Operators of North America in Norfolk, CT.

  2. Step 2

Want to arrive in vintage style? What about riding to the ceremony in a 1931 Hudson sedan? Or maybe contemporary is more your style. Imagine you and your bridesmaids riding in a stretch limo, sipping champagne all the way to the ceremony.

  3. Step 3

If you live in a region where snow is likely on your wedding day, look into renting a horse-drawn sleigh. "Sleighs have been used to transport the bride and groom for decades." says Jon Nauman, manager of the Horse Drawn Carriage Company of Alaska, "Many couples have the actual ceremony in the sleigh. When snow conditions are not suitable, we add wheels to the sleighs just so the wedding can still use the sleigh."

  4. Step 4

However you choose to get there, make your special day memorable by arriving in style.
