Step 1
Find a talent agent in your area. Many of the companies who hire extras for Super Bowl commercials will only hire people through talent agencies. The talent agent can give you pointers for the specific commercials for which you will audition.
-
Step 2
Update your portfolio. Make sure that your talent agent has up to date photos and videos of you. Some companies who hire extras may want these before you will be asked to audition for the commercial.
-
Step 3
Pick a few commercials. When your talent agent contacts you with the list of companies that are hiring extras for their Super Bowl commercials, decide on a few that interest you. Auditioning for too many Super Bowl commercials may stress you out and cause you to make mistakes that will lead to losing a job.
-
Step 4
Show up to the audition on time. Being late will probably get you turned away before you get to audition.
-
Step 5
Wear appropriate attire. Watch some of the company's other commercials. Pay attention to how the extras are dressed. If they have a wide scope of dress in their commercials, bring a few outfits.
-
Step 6
Smile. This may seem like common sense, but auditions for extras can be frustrating. Keeping a positive attitude and smiling will show that you are unaffected by changes in your environment. This can greatly increase your chance of being an extra in a Super Bowl commercial.
